This summer you can take a particular occasion to visit the Coliseum under a very special light: the one of the moon. Until September 29th 2009 it will be possible for everyone to visit the Coliseum during the night, a unique opportunity, since during the other months of the year the Coliseum is open only until sunset. This is an initiative of the superintendence of the archaeological site’s of Rome, and basically consists on night visits into the superb Forums area.
